Directly inspired by Miner 2049er, this evolution of the single screen platform game was programmed by 17-year old Matthew Smith and became a home computer smash hit in Europe. The concept remains familiar. Grab all the things and get to the goal before time runs out in 20 levels of bizarre enemies moving back and forth in set paths. Manic Miner is as much of a platforming challenge as it is a pathfinding challenge, where finding the route through the level can be as challenging as making the tight jumps.
Touch all of the objects (flashing items or switches) then get to the flashing exit square. There are 20 levels to complete on just 3 lives.
